Erasmus+ UNISON project sums up in China

On September 18-20, 2019, the final conference to sum up the results of the Erasmus+ UNISON project (University-Enterprise Cooperation via Spin-Off Companies Network) was held in Yantai (China).  The event was organized by the Chinese partners of the project: Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Ludong University and Yantai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

The conference was attended by representatives of 13 project partners: University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (Georgia), Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (Russia), Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics (Russia), Perm State University (Russia).

The delegation of Nizhnevartovsk State University included Burkit Makhutov, Vice-Rector for Development, Nadezhda Nemchinova, Advisor to First Vice-Rector for International Relations, Oksana Moroz, Head of International Office, Oksana Kozlova, Associate Professor, Department for Commerce and Management, and Anatoly Klochkov, Associate Professor, Department for Education in Physics and Mathematics.

The conference was aimed at summarizing the results of the project, as well as at disseminating  the European experience in organizing academic spin-off companies. The general public was introduced to the results of project activities, namely, a Guide on the Applying the Model of Spin-off Companies  in Partner Countries (EU, Russia, China, Georgia), a model of spin-off companies aimed at developing cooperation between a university and an employer, a spin-off companies portal, as well as the results of seminar held at the European partner universities during the project.

At the conference, NVSU presented a portal of the spin-off companies’ network developed by the NVSU project team. The portal will become a kind of a platform that will allowing stakeholders located in different countries to work on the development, production and launch of innovative products in international markets. .

During the event, Yantai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone  signed Cooperation Agreementswith its project partner universities, including Nizhnevartovsk State University. The conference was completed  with an external monitoring of the project carried out by  Carlos Machado, leading expert consultant at Gekavoc - BMBF, Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (Switzerland).
