NVSU has joined a kick-off meeting on Nordic-Russian Cooperation program

On February 29 - March 2, 2016, JAMK University of Applied Sciences welcomed the participants of the kick-off meeting on the project Bridging the cooperation gap- Nordic-Russian Network for International Relations in Higher Education. The project was approved for funding within 2012-2015 Call for proposals of the Nordic-Russian Cooperation program.

The project is aimed at developing multifaceted cooperation between higher educational institutions of Russia and northern Europe, as well as assessing the cooperation prospects in designing joint educational programs, developing academic mobility, capacity-building in the field of international projects. The project involves a roadmap to develop international cooperation of HEIs, design and launch of an online platform of the international cooperation network, training seminars in European universities, regional awareness-raising campaigns on the project implementation and results.

The project consortium includes:

University College South Denmark (Denmark)

JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä (Finland)

Nizhnevartovsk State University

Yugra State University

 

 

University College of Southern Denmark acts as the grantee and project coordinator, while NVSU traditionally acts as the Russian project coordinator.

The meeting in Finland was attended by representatives of partner universities: Nadezhda Nemchinova, the Head of NVSU International Office and Russian project coordinator, Auty Jäppinen, representing the Center for International Mobility in Finland (CIMO), who made a presentation on the Finnish-Russian Co-operation in Higher Education.

The meeting agenda included discussions of the following issues: working group membership, project content, interaction of project participants, project administration and management, reporting, documentation, dissemination of project results and quality control, seminar on Capacity Building of International Services and Challenges of Academic Mobility Development to be held May 16-20, 2016 in NVSU.
